Aligning The Spine
After several prototypes and over 20 years of research and development, an adjusting instrument that has helped thousands of patients suffering from severe chronic neck pain is now available in South Florida.
The treatment is completely painless with no conventional twisting of the neck or popping sounds. The results are often immediate and dramatic. This state of the art procedure offers severe neck pain sufferers an alternative to those who have tried traditional chiropractic and medical treatment without any relief from their neck pain.
Treatment with the adjusting instrument only occurs after careful examination and x-ray analysis of the cervical spine. The machine utilizes a stylus which is placed on the upper neck region. The treatment is non-invasive and gentle. The principle is similar to billiards. The tip of the instrument touches the neck. The force of the weight of the instrument (usually 3 pounds) is transferred through the tip to the Atlas (1st cervical vertebra) moving it back gently into proper position. Symptoms usually begin to dissipate shortly after a few sessions.
Although each patient is different, the vast majority show improvement in their symptomatology. The method is so gentle that many patients cannot believe an adjustment has taken place until they notice their discomfort has been relieved.
The importance of keeping the Atlas vertebra aligned is critical to our skeletal structural balance and spinal integrity. When the Atlas misaligns it creates a series of compensations throughout the spine. Besides impacting the cervical spine, we can see other effects such as decreased curves of the neck, scoliosis and changes in alignment in the shoulders and pelvis. Over time this may create uneven weight distribution on both feet, a short leg, head tilt, forward head posture, low shoulders, or improper spinal curvatures, restricted motion or decreased ranges of movement of neck and other joints.
This adjusting instrument is a safe, gentle, and precise method of aligning the cervical spine without the traditional forceful physical manipulation. It allows a tremendous degree of accuracy and removes a lot of the human variables associated with traditional manipulation. It also offers patients a viable alternative to drugs and surgery.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
